A little clarity
Waitlist privacy.
This notice covers the Civvy launch waitlist. The app is in development; joining the waitlist doesn't create a dating profile.
Effective October 11, 2026
What we collect
When you submit the form, we store your email address, your consent to receive launch updates, the consent notice version, and the signup time. Your consent also confirms that you are 18 or older and live in the United States. We store a protected version of the token used by your private removal link.
We don't ask for your name, date of birth, citizenship, location, photos, or relationship preferences on the waitlist. The form includes an empty field to help detect automated submissions.
Why we keep it
We use your email to manage the waitlist and send Civvy launch updates. We use consent records to document your request and technical safeguards to prevent duplicate and abusive submissions. We don't sell waitlist emails or use them to build dating profiles.
Where it goes
The website and waitlist service run on Google Cloud, and waitlist records are stored in a dedicated Firestore database in the United States. Google processes the data as our infrastructure provider. Access is limited to Civvy's authorized administrators and the waitlist service.
Hosting services may process technical request information, such as IP address, browser information, and request time, to deliver the site and protect the service. We don't store IP addresses in your waitlist record. Operational logs can contain technical request metadata.
No advertising trackers
This landing page doesn't use advertising or analytics trackers, tracking cookies, or third-party frontend scripts. Fonts and images are served with the site. Service providers may retain technical information needed to operate their infrastructure.
Leaving the waitlist
After a new signup, the page shows a private removal link. Save it somewhere you can find later. Opening that link lets you remove your waitlist record and stop future launch updates. Anyone with the link can remove that signup, so keep it private.
The link is displayed in your browser; it isn't sent by email when you sign up. A repeat signup may receive the same general confirmation without a new link. Keep the link from your original signup.
Your waitlist record stays until you remove it or the waitlist is retired. Deletion removes the active record; technical service logs and any provider-managed recovery copies may expire on their separate retention schedules.
Questions or a lost removal link
Contact support@civvy.love about the waitlist or a deletion request. We'll need to confirm that you control the signup email before removing a record without its private link.
When the app launches
Using the future Civvy app will require separate terms and privacy information for profiles, matching, messages, and other app features. We'll update this notice if the waitlist's purpose or data handling changes.
